Unlocking Wellness:
The NUCCA Approach

NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) offers gentle,
non-invasive chiropractic care for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

Revolutionary Chiropractic Care

Developed over 60 years ago, NUCCA has evolved into a sophisticated, evidence-based technique that restores health by optimizing body balance. This approach recognizes that many health issues stem from a misalignment between the head and spine.

This gentle correction is guided by X-rays that confirm how your head and spine are aligned. Patients often describe the NUCCA experience as a light pressure applied to the side of the neck, unlike typical chiropractic adjustments. By realigning the head to balance on top of the spine, NUCCA initiates positive changes throughout the entire body. While the technique may appear simple, its benefits are profound.

Who Can Benefit from NUCCA?

NUCCA’s holistic approach to body balance makes it beneficial for a wide range of individuals. While we often consider our body parts separately, NUCCA recognizes that they all work together to achieve overall balance and health.
The way you support your head can significantly impact your entire body. Misalignment may lead to various symptoms, including:
  • Chronic fatigue
  • General weakness
  • Persistent headaches
  • Jaw pain or TMD issues
  • Arm or leg numbness
  • Dizziness or vertigo
  • Digestive problems

Understanding NUCCA

Your head is supported by muscles around your spine that extend to the low back. While your body tries to find the most efficient way to support your head, this may not always result in a healthy posture. Various factors can compromise proper head support, including:
  • Chronic stress
  • Persistent pain
  • Injuries (even minor ones like bumping your head)
  • Poor sleep positions
  • Prolonged poor posture (like sitting at a computer work station)
How your head is balanced on your spine is important because major blood vessels and nerves travel through the narrow channel between your head and spinal column. If this pathway becomes pinched or restricted due to misalignment, you may experience adverse effects. NUCCA’s precise, gentle adjustments aim to correct this imbalance.
